To transfer the latest and greatest copy of your EndNote library to your computer at home and the one in your office at the LDI: 0) In EndNote, save your library as: "Howard_Library.enl" 1) To put it in your home directory at the BIC Open Fetch In the "Connect" dialogue box, fill in the following fields: host: bottom.bic.mni.mcgill.ca userid: howie (or your username on the BIC network) password: type in your password here directory: ~/ In the "Transfer" (second) dialogue box, select "Put File" button (to right of file list) Then choose your EndNote library file from your hard disk Howard_Library.enl and press the "open" button. When it prompts you for how to transfer the data, "Save file on bottom.bic.mni.mcgill.ca as: " choose "Raw data" then press "OK" After file has transferred, you can quit Fetch. 2) To retrieve the library at another computer (at home, or at LDI), to get the EndNote library follow these steps: Open Fetch In the "Connect" dialogue box, fill in the following fields: host: bottom.bic.mni.mcgill.ca userid: howie (or your username on the BIC network) password: type in your password here directory: ~/ In the "Transfer" (second) dialogue box From the file list, select Howard_Library.enl then press the "Get File" button (to right of file list) Then, specify to which directory on your hard disk you wish to transfer the file (if necessary).
