I am persuing my degree towards Ph.D. in the Dept. of
Neurology and Neurosurgery of McGill University. We are based at the
McConnell Brain Imaging Center part of the Montreal Neurological
Inst. I have an M.Sc. degree from the Dept. of Medical Physics of
McGill University. I work under the supervision of Drs. Ernst Meyer
and Albert Gjedde. Taking the advantage of my medical physics
education, I am studying physiology and pathophysiology of some neurological
diseases using positron emission tomography (PET) and magnetic
resonance imaging (MRI).
Projects and Responsibilities
- Brain aerobic glycolysis in response to visual stimulation:
Preliminary application to neurological disorders
- Implementation and validation of intravenous 15O-O2 and 15O-CO administration
- Calibration and quality control of automated blood sampling
system (ABSS) as well as oxygen-15 gas inhalation system
Research Interests
- Kinetics of PET tracers
- Ligand studies with PET to investigate neurological disorders
- PET methodology and clinical application of PET
- Medical image processing
