Introduction

We studied the neuroanatomical correlates of language impairment of specific type that runs in families (Familial Language Impairment); [1]. An automated tissue classification method was used to do volumetric measurement of gray matter, white matter and cerebro-spinal fluid. Differences in the CSF to Gray ratio between controls and language impaired subject is used to describe the relationship between cortical atrophy and linguistic performance.
