This is a map of the directories associated with EMMA (Extensible
Matlab Medical Analysis). Unlike the blood lab software, EMMA exists
entirely in the SGI domain. EMMA lives entirely under
/usr/people/wolforth/work/, and therefore the following map has
this as its root.
- emma/: This directory is the development area for EMMA.
It contains the entire EMMA source tree, as well as binaries
(both CMEX and stand-alone), MATLAB scripts, the EMMA library,
and full EMMA documentation. Since this is a development
directory, no source or executables should be taken from it.
The directory tree consists of:
- bin/: Development versions of the stand-alone
binaries. These are the results of compiling the code in
the source tree.
- doc/: The development version of the EMMA
documentation.
- include/: Contains the include files used by EMMA.
- lib/: The EMMA library (libemma.a) lives
here. This is the result of compiling the source in the
source/libsource directory, and contains several
useful functions used in EMMA programs. At this point,
this directory also contains the necessary IRIX 4.0.5
libraries for compiling EMMA, to allow building with IRIX
5.x.
- matlab/: The MATLAB scripts that comprise EMMA, as
well as development versions of the CMEX files used within
EMMA. This directory tree is divided into four
sub-categories:
- fdg/: EMMA functions for performing FDG
analysis.
- general/: General purpose EMMA functions.
This is the heart of EMMA, and includes functions
for reading and writing MINC files, viewing images,
and performing general image manipulations.
- rcbf/: EMMA functions for performing RCBF
analysis. This code is intended as a thorough
working example to encourage future developers using
the EMMA toolkit.
- roi/: The EMMA Region Of Interest (ROI)
package.
- source/: The EMMA development source tree. All of
the source for EMMA stand-alone and CMEX binaries is
contained here. This includes make files, and RCS
directories documenting the entire history of the EMMA
source.
- emma_release/: This directory is a mirror of the
emma/ directory, and contains release versions of the
EMMA toolkit. This directory tree is designed to be tarred and
zipped for distribution. Please read the document
/usr/people/wolforth/work/00README for details on
updating this directory.
- bin/: This directory is empty, since binaries are
not distributed with EMMA. The directory is here
simply so that it will be created when the EMMA
distribution is unpacked.
- doc/: Contains the distribution version of the EMMA
documentation, including PostScript files.
- include/: Contains the include files used by EMMA.
- lib/: This directory is empty, since the EMMA
library is not distributed with EMMA, but is built by the
end-user from source. Like the bin/ directory,
this directory is here so that it will be created when the
EMMA distribution is unpacked.
- matlab/: This is a mirror image of the development
matlab/ directory, and contains all of the MATLAB
scripts associated with EMMA.
- source/: This directory tree contains the release
versions of all of the source code for the EMMA
stand-alone binaries and CMEX files. Since this is
intended as a release directory tree, it does not contain
RCS directories, or old versions of the code.
- emmabin/: This binary release directory is intended
solely for local MNI consumption. Since the
emma_release directory does not contain binaries, the
release versions of the binaries are placed in this directory.
- bin/: The release versions of the stand-alone
binaries.
- matlab/: The release versions of the CMEX binaries.
