JIV: A 3D Image Data Visualization and Comparison Tool

Overview:

JIV is a Java software for visualization and side-by-side comparison of multiple 3D image datasets. While it was originally designed for remote data access (through the WWW), it can be used as a traditional (local) application as well.

Info for BIC.MNI users:

For local use, you want jiv.pl .

For remote (Web) access to data:

  1. Use minc2jiv.pl to convert your data
  2. Edit the config file as needed (the one used for the above demo is this)
  3. Setup the html file that starts JIV.
    For now, set the archive attribute to: http://www.bic.mni.mcgill.ca/~crisco/jiv/prod/jiv.jar
    You should also add a SSI (server side include) reference to /users/crisco/jiv/prod/ssi_insert.html right after the applet tag in the html file.
