Research Interests

I am a graduate student majoring in Neuroscience in the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. I am working on selective attention networks in the brain and the relationship between cognitive processes of attention and specific regions in the brain that are related to these processes. I am also investigating the nature of selective attention impairments in patients with Alzheimer's disease. If you click here you can see an example of a coronal section of an MRI scan. I did a manual segmentation of the anterior cingulate sulcus and surrounding grey matter of the brains of patients with Alzheimer's disease to determine the amount of atrophy in this specific region related to selective attention.
