    • Conclusions: These findings demonstrate the ability of this unique, fully automated, whole-brain method to detect changes in cortical thickness in schizophrenia. The regional distribution of changes found was consistent with independent histopathological and neuroimaging findings on the distribution of neuropathological alterations in schizophrenia, and with gray matter losses previously reported in the same sample when voxel-based morphometric methods were used.
