Supervising faculty: Andrea Bernasconi, M.D.
The main goal of this course is to give an overview of recent advances in the field of Neuroimaging of epilepsy. Emphasis will be placed on how novel MRI techniques and imaging processing methods are applied to clinical research to understand causes and consequences of epilepsy in humans. Lectures will provide basic concepts of epilepsy and students will be familiarized with principles and application of advanced imaging techniques such as quantitative structural MRI, MR spectroscopy, diffusion MRI, and EEG-fMRI and image processing methods such as MR volumetry, voxel-based morphometry and texture analysis. |
