Georgios Mitsis received the Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece, M.S. Degrees in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA and the Ph.D. Degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Southern California. He has held postdoctoral appointments at the Biomedical Simulations Resource, Los Angeles CA and the fMRIB Centre, University of Oxford, UK. From January 2009 to December 2013 he was a Lecturer and subsequently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Cyprus, Nicosia, Cyprus. In January 2014, he joined the newly founded Department of Bioengineering at McGill University as an Assistant Professor. His research interests include nonlinear and nonstationary systems modeling, with applications to systems biology and physiology, as well as functional neuroimaging. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE.
