Q: Hi, I am getting an error trying to load brain-view with a stats file, namely the color scheme won’t load:

Coin warning in SbImage::readFile(): The simage library is not available, can not import any images from disk. Coin warning in SoTexture2::filenameSensorCB(): Image file ‘//usr/local/mni/share/brain-view//spectral.rgb’ could not be read

I checked and the file spectral.rgb does indeed exist. It is owned by root and has permission 644 (changing to 777 did nothing).

I suspect this has something to do with simage and coin, but i really don’t know what either of those are.

I am running ubuntu 8.04 64bit with a 2.6.24–18 kernel. I think I installed brain-view from packages.bic.mni.mcgill.ca/ubuntu-hardy

A: I found the solution:
sudo apt-get install libsimage-dev
(libsimage20 didn’t work)
