Q: Hi MINC lister, I installed the brain-view followed the instructions at http://wiki.bic.mni.mcgill.ca/index.php/BrainView. It’s works but still has a warning message:

WARNING: environment file (~/.brain-view or /data/aces/aces1/quarantines/Linux-i686/Oct-10–2007/share/brain-view/brain-view-config) could not be found so textures will not be available

In this way, I cann’t use the texture file to color the map. Is there any method to specify the textures path instead of the default path (such as here is /data/aces/aces1/quarantines/Linux-i686/Oct-10–2007/share/brain-view/)?

Thanks in advance!

A: Hi, Create a file called .brain-view in your $HOME directory, with the file containing these two lines:

Texturedir: /data/aces/aces1/quarantines/textures Texture: spectral.rgb

Change the above path in the file to point to your local path containing the texture files.
