Alex Thiel, M.D.

Assistant Professor of Neurology, McGill -

Dr. Thiel has established a neuroplasticity research program which aims at defining predictors for successful post-stroke recovery. For this purpose morphological markers, molecular markers and electrophysiological markers of cortical and subcortical neuroplasticity are investigated longitudinally in stroke patients and animal models using functional and morphological MR-imaging, PET and transcranial magnetic stimulation.
