Master’s Student -

I am a Masters student in the Medical Physics program at McGill. My research is on quantitative T2 (qT2) relaxometry under the supervision of Dr. Bruce Pike. MR spectroscopy, diffusion imaging, magnetization transfer imaging and qT2 are methods used to study the pathology of multiple sclerosis. QT2 is able to separate the various water pools in the brain and allows estimation of the myelin water fraction (MWF),which acts as an indicator of myelin. Some work has been done on cross-site MWF comparisons and re-scanning reproducibility of MWFs using a human phantom.
