Dr. Andrea Bernasconi is a neurologist specialized in epilepsy. He is interested in investigating static and dynamic changes of various morphological brain characteristicssuch as cortical thickness, sulcal morphology, shape and positioning ofbrain structures in different epilepsy syndromes. His research also aims at developing computerized image processing techniques to improve the detection of subtle malformations of cortical development, a frequent cause of pharmacologically intractable epilepsy.
