Sean Jy-Shyang Chen

Sean J.S. Chen is a Ph.D. student in biomedical engineering under Dr. Louis Collins. His research interest is in medical image processing, registration, and visualization. His current research projects focuses on blood vessel image segmentation, vessel registration, surgical visualization, and the production of imaging phantoms for validation. He collaborates with Dr. André Olivier, a neurosurgeon specializing in epilepsies and their treatment.
Sean Chen previously completed his MSc at Queen’s University in Computer Science under the supervision of Dr. Dorothea Blostein. He also worked with Dr. Randy Ellis as a research associate at the Human Mobility Research Centre in computer assisted orthopedic surgery.
