Breakfast Foods
Main Course Dishes
- Chickpea Stew I
adapted from Madhur Jaffrey's "World of the East Vegetarian Cooking."
- Chickpea Stew II From
the kitchen of Noor Kabani (and her mother's, I think!).
- Cashew Rice Curry
from "The Well Fed Backbacker." Translates well from the campsite to
the dining room.
- Eggplant Lasagne
I have an eggplant fetish. So what?! At least I'm not an
axe-murderer! From "Betty Crocker's New Choices."
- Lentil and Bulgur
Salad from the updated - and not necessarily for the better -
"Moosewood Cookbook." What's wrong with more butter, I ask you?!
- Presto Pesto A
lickety-split meal courtesy of Sylvain. Great on camping trips and at
home.
- Pesto Lasagne From
Molly Katzen's "Enchanted Broccoli Forest." Yum!
- Spanikominestra
Spani-ko-wha? Loosely translated from Greek: Spinach Stew. From the
kitchen of Ginouschka. Good for camping and other meals where you are
likely to have a passel of hungry folks on your hands.
- Vegetable and
Cheese Lasgagne From a Weight Watchers (TM) cookbook.
-
Tofu and Banana Curry Adapted from something I found at the
Recipe Cottage (see link below).
Soups
This fabulous dish,
known as Hamerakaa in
Finnish is addictively delicious. I think it's all the heavy
cream. Slobber, slobber...
Desserts
- Chocolate
Chickpea Cake When my friend Gisele makes it, this is wonderful.
I haven't been able to replicate her results. Sigh.
- Whipped Tofu Cream
glaze for chocolate chickpea cake, above. These two recipes are
great for vegans and gluten-sensitve eaters.
- Camp Cobbler A
great dessert on a camping trip. Another delight from the "Well Fed
Backpacker."
- Sacher Torte An incredible
chocolate concoction, thanks to Bojana!

I'm getting tired of retyping other people's work and then figuring out
the proper credits.
