Simon Duschesne

Simon Duchesne is a Ph.D. candidate in the department of Biomedical Engineering at McGill University of Montreal, Canada, with his research conducted at the McConnell Brain Imaging Centre of the Montreal Neurological Institute. His work centers on developing new automated methodologies for neurological diseases detection, based on multi-dimensional models extracted from MR images. He has used these new techniques in the study of temporal lobe epilepsy and Alzheimerís dementia. He is also involved with other researchers at the BIC and elsewhere in the study of normal aging, adolescent body perception, and novelty-seeking behavior, with standard or improved techniques such as appearance-based segmentation and voxel-based morphometry.
