Nicolas Guizard, M.Eng.

PhD student - Image Processing Lab (IPL)

I received my Masters degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University Paul Sabatier, Toulouse, France and completed 2 internships at the MNI before taking a job as a research engineer for Dr. Catherine Limperopoulos’s lab. My role is to adapt and develop minctools for pediatric subjects, in order to accomplish volumetric and connectivity studies in fetal, neonatal, premature, and mature infant brains. At the same time, I develop tools to classify fetal and neonatal tissues, and also to improve the 2D registration of fetal MR images. I am now doing my PhD with Dr. Louis Collins, on brain atrophy in MS.
