Thomas Vincent, PhD., Postdoctoral fellow

Thomas

I graduated in bio-informatics and applied mathematics in 2006. In 2010, I completed my PhD in Neurospin (France), focusing on regularization approaches for the characterization of the cerebral hemodynamics. I then had an experience in pharmaco-MRI, taking part in clinical trials for the validation of a molecule against the Alzeihmer’s disease. During my first post-doctoral fellowship at Inria Grenoble (France), I studied the neuro-vascular coupling and quantitative imaging until 2014. I am currently a post-doctoral fellow at the PERFORM Centre (Concordia University) collaborating with the MultiFunkIm, under the supervision of Louis Bherer and Christophe Grova. I mainly work on methodological developments for a near-infrared cerebral imaging technique but also for MRI coupled with electroencephalography. These works have applications in the study of the link between cognitive ageing and physical or mental training, but also in the characterization of epileptic networks.
